Prio One helps you get estrogen-free birth control through one coordinated program: an online health questionnaire, a review by an independent licensed clinician, and — if prescribed — a pharmacy of your choice. This policy explains what information we collect along the way, how we use it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect what the program needs, we share it only with the people involved in your care, and we never sell it.
"Prio One", "we" and "us" means HTV USA, Inc., doing business as Prio One. We operate this website and coordinate the program. We do not practice medicine and we are not a pharmacy — your clinician and your pharmacy are independent, and each is responsible to you for its own services. How the parties fit together is described in How the Prio One program works.
We use your information to run your program: creating your account, passing your questionnaire to your clinician, routing your prescription to the pharmacy you chose, keeping you informed, providing support, and meeting our legal obligations (including product-safety reporting). We also use aggregate, technical usage information — which does not include your questionnaire answers or other health details — to improve the program.
Your health information goes only to the parties treating you, and only as needed:
These parties also share program status with us (for example: consultation outcome, prescription status, delivery status) so we can coordinate and support you.
We also use service providers that host and secure our systems under contracts that protect your data. We never sell your personal information, we never share your health information with advertising platforms, and Exeltis — the manufacturer of SLYND®, with which we share common ownership — never receives information that identifies you (apart from legally required safety reports, which follow their own rules).
Service messages (consultation, prescription, order and delivery updates) are part of the program and are described at the point where you enter your phone number. Marketing messages are sent only if you opted in, and every one lets you opt out.
We keep your information for as long as you participate in the program and afterwards only as long as the law requires (for example pharmacy and medical record-keeping rules) or as needed to resolve disputes. As a rule: account and program records are kept for the duration of your participation plus the record-keeping periods the law sets; identity-verification images are stored encrypted with your submission and kept only as long as your care and applicable legal requirements make necessary — images from questionnaires that are never submitted are deleted automatically after 14 days; and communication preferences are kept until you change or withdraw them.
Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is limited to the people and partners who need it, and every partner access to health information is recorded in an audit log — our own administrative tools cannot decrypt your questionnaire answers. Health information handled for your clinician and pharmacy is protected under HIPAA through business-associate agreements across the chain.
The health information described in this policy — your questionnaire answers, identity verification, insurance details, and prescription and order information — is protected health information (PHI) when we handle it for your clinician and your pharmacy. We use and disclose PHI only to operate your program: to connect you with your medical practice, to route your prescription to the pharmacy you chose, to coordinate and support your care, and where the law requires it (for example product-safety reporting). We do not use or disclose PHI for advertising, and we never sell it. These uses and disclosures are governed by HIPAA business-associate agreements across the chain of parties involved in your care.
You have the right to inspect and receive a copy of your health information, to request corrections (amendments) to it, and to receive an accounting of certain disclosures. To exercise these rights, email privacy@prio-one.com; where a record is held by your medical practice or your pharmacy, we will route your request to the right party and tell you who that is. Your clinician's practice provides its own Notice of Privacy Practices, which is presented to you during intake before any consultation.
If you believe the privacy of your health information has been violated, you can file a complaint with us at privacy@prio-one.com — we will investigate and respond, and you will never be treated differently for complaining. You may also file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office for Civil Rights (hhs.gov/ocr).
We are legally required to maintain the privacy and security of the PHI we handle, to notify the affected parties in the event of a breach of unsecured PHI, and to follow the practices described in this policy and in our HIPAA business-associate agreements.
Depending on your state, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising. You can exercise these rights at privacy@prio-one.com — we respond within the timelines your state sets, we never treat you differently for using your rights, and if we decline a request you can appeal by replying to our decision. We honor Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out of measurement and marketing cookies, and you can use the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in the footer at any time. For health-specific rights, see our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.
Prio One is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and tell you before the changes apply to you.
